San Diego Teachers that Make a Difference:
The Search Is On!

KPRI 102.1 FM, The San Diego County Office of Education and our sponsors: The San Diego County Toyota Dealers, Wells Fargo, and the San Diego Zoo & Wild Animal Park  have joined forces to honor San Diego Teachers!

 Teachers can ignite a love of learning and enrich the lives of children. We’re looking for the most inspirational and incredible teachers (K-6) to be honored with a special TEACHERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE AWARD.

Throughout the 2008-2009 school year, we’ll recognize hundreds of educators with nominations and honor nine with a very special TEACHERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE AWARD! Each recipient will be awarded in a surprise assembly and receive a plaque and prizes, including a class field trip to their choice of the San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park! The program will culminate at the end of the year with a fantastic TEACHERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE recognition party for each honoree and a guest!

We need students and parents to nominate their favorite teachers! It’s a greatway to say “thanks” to the people that are making a difference in San Diego Education.

To comply with federal guidelines we ask that a parent or legal guardian submit nominations if you are 17 years or under. All entries become the property of Compass Radio of San Diego and may be used as promotional material. Award Recipients will be chosen monthly and entries are due by May 8, 2009
